Buyers: New York Closing Attorneys

- You find a home and make an offer.
- Your offer is accepted.
- You contact our closing attorneys and provide the attorney's contact information to your real estate agent (if no real estate broker is involved, provide our information to the seller's closing attorney).
- The seller's lawyer prepares a contract and sends it to our office for review.
- We review the contract, discuss it with you and make changes (if necessary).
- You sign the contract and provide the downpayment (usually 10% of the purchase price).
- We send the contract and downpayment to the seller's attorney. The seller signs the contract and the seller's attorney deposits the downpayment into an escrow account until Closing.
- You apply for your mortgage.
- We order a title search (for a condo or house) or a lien search (for a cooperative apartment).
- Once your mortgage is approved, we schedule the Closing.
- We attend the Closing.
